Do I need a visa to volunteer?

​Yes, you need a visa. We can assist you with that.

Do I need vaccinations to volunteer?

Yes, vaccinations are mandatory and highly recommended. We can also assist you with that.

What is expected of me? 

Lots of enthusiasm!

What are my approximate costs? 

In total (think of visa + extension, stay and transfer) the cost would be around €1.500,- for 2 months.

How do I communicate with the locals? 

Mainly through Feliciano (he speaks English, Portuguese, and the local language Makua), but you will do fine with your hands and feet as well!

What rules should I follow when working on a project? 

Respect for the environment and their religion are paramount. For example, as most of the inhabitants are Muslim, knees will always be covered, this includes men.

How do I best prepare myself for this journey?

We will guide you from the very beginning! You will get access to the Dropbox with all the information you need. You will also get a permanent supervisor from among the board.

Where do I stay?

You will stay in the beautiful Nuarro Lodge, where food is fully catered for. There are also fun activities such as snorkelling and diving (for a fee). WiFi is available.
